  • City tour

    19 January 2017
    Much of what the Stijl has contributed to Drachten can be found outside Museum Dr8888. The museum is therefore offering visitors a very special package this year, in the form of a guided city tour. The tour will take you to interesting architectonic objects in the centre of Drachten, to the final destination in the so-called ‘Papegaaienbuurt’ (parrot neighbourhood, so-called because of the use of primary colours).   • Northern Netherlands website goes live

    15 January 2017
    As of 20 January 2017, the website for the theme year titled Mondriaan to Dutch Design for the Northern Netherlands region went live. The information featured on the website will include the programme of exhibitions for the Princessehof National Museum of Ceramics in Leeuwarden, RLS Eelden and Museum Dr8888.
  • Museum Dr8888 opens first Stijl exhibition

    15 January 2017
    On 29 January, Museum Dr8888 will kick off the theme year titled Mondriaan to Dutch Design, with the exhibition on César Domela, De Stijl in art and typography. The exhibition will be a cross section of this creative all-rounder. Click here for more information.

    The Princessehof National Museum of Ceramics can look back on an exceptional year. The museum attracted nearly 39,311 visitors, making 2016 the most successful year for the museum in the past decades.
